Elkton Town Band Photos(pre-Summer 2009)
This gallery shows some of the band's history through pictures!
Performed on February 21, one week later than previously scheduled, due to winter snowstorms. It was held at Elkton High School in their auditorium.
The holiday concert was played on December 6, 2009.
The Elkton Town Band was co-founded by the late William Lewis, and longtime musician and music teacher in the Cecil County area. His vision and energy remain a driving force for the band today.
Upon his death, the Lewis family helped establish the William Lewis Music Scholarship. Every year, the ETB's selection committee seeks an aspiring musician who is granted $1000 award, to help with their first year of college as a music major. This scholarship began in 2004 and continues today. The scholarship's funding has diminished, however, and 2010 may be its final year.
Here are photos of previous scholarship winners.
Zach Davis won the 2006 scholarship, we don't have a picture, but we want to honor his place
We had two special concerts - Pell Gardens in July and Hart's Chapel in September
